A DAY WITHOUT SHADOW..

A MISFORTUNE WITH SOME GUNS,
FIRED ON THE RUNNING CITY
ITS PEOPLE AND ITS UNITY
STILL, A FEW BRAVE MEN ROSE,
SAFETY OF PEOPLE THEY CHOSE
THEY STOOD AGAINST THE DEATH,
FOUGHT TILL THE LAST BREATH
THEY SAVED THE CITY BUT THEY WERE LOST
TO SAVE US THEY PAID THE COST
IT WAS A DATE WITHOUT TRACES
THAT LEFT ONLY DARK AND PALE FACES
IT WAS A DAY WITH ONLY SORROW
IT WAS A DAY WITHOUT SHADOW
WE TRIED OR PRETENDED TO REPAY THEM,
BUT WE DID NOHING THAN TO BETRAY THEM
WHERE THEY LIVED WAS WORST THAN HELL
IF IT WAS ONLY A DARK AND MOURNING WELL
A STREET WITH MURKYNESS,
WITHOUT END, IN DARKNESS
A WAY TOWARDS THE PITIABLE,
POOREST VICINITY LOST IN DIMNESS
A SMALL HOUSE,WITH TWO CHAIRS
A BROKEN BED WITH REPAIRS
FEW UTENCILS,AND A BUNCH OF THINGS
CLOTHS HANGING ON LOOSE STRINGS
FEW HELPLESS EYES, FEW WITH RAGE
SCREAMING ON US,WASEN’T STRANGE
A SIELENCE THAT WAS SO LOUD
IF IT WAS A CRYING CROWD
EYES ICED,BURNING WITH REGRET
OUR HEROS ,HOW CAN WE FORGET
THEY DIED TO MAKE OUR TOMMORROW
ITS STILL A DAY OF SORROW
ITS STILL A DAY WITHOUT SHADOW

“ On the miserable conditions of the martyr policemen’s {MUMBAI 26/11}families.....
